About the Author

My name is Jessica Tetu, and I grew up in a suburb just outside of Los Angeles in Southern California. Before coming to Skidmore I attended and all-girls Catholic high school, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, in LA county. Before high school, however, I received a Waldorf education from Kindergarten through eighth grade. Suffice to say I have had a diverse educational experience.

English, writing, and literature have always been amongst my favorite classes. I especially love creative writing as well as reading and writing poetry. Some of my favorite authors and poets include Sylvia Plath, Walt Whitman, John Keats, Johann von Goethe, and Anne Sexton.

In addition to EN-105H I am currently taking Introduction to German, Philosophy, and Mother Russia's Daughters and Sons. I am contemplating majoring in Philosophy with a minor in either German or Gender Studies; time will tell. For now I just plan on finishing the semester.

My hobbies include reuniting with my dog after long trips, reading, baking, spending time with loved-ones, and other such hooliganism.
